Brewery tour & beer tasting in Montmartre You know the bar. Now step behind it

1h30 behind the scenes of a working brewery, with one of our brewers. The tanks, the basement, how it's all made, then 4 beers tasted right where they were born.

The experience

Not a museum tour. The real brewery, the one that's running

At Patoche, the brewery isn't hidden away on an industrial estate: it's right there behind the bar, and one floor down. During the tour, we open the door our bar customers never get through.

We start with the story: how Patoche went from a garage to the Butte Montmartre, and how a beer is made, from grain to glass. Malt, hops, yeast, water: you finally understand what each one does, and why two beers brewed with almost the same ingredients taste nothing alike.

Then we go behind the scenes. The brewhouse, the smell of the ingredients, and the fermenters in the basement, where the beer takes its time. Ask anything, even the questions you never dared ask at the bar. There are no silly questions, only chatty brewers.

And then we head back up to taste. Four beers picked from what's coming out of the tanks and to suit your group. The brewer talks you through each one. You leave knowing what's in your glass, and with a good reason to come back to the bar.

Run by Alex, Hugo or Quentin, brewers.
